These are the pictures I took when I went collecting trash down home in Lunenburg. I didn't find much trash on the beach, only a few old tires, and a piece of rope, and some beach glass which i gave to my mother who collects it.
The 'lonely highway' image is actually the stretch of road that leads down towards Blue Rocks, I live on this road and thought that I would be able to
collect a lot more trash here than on the shore, but, either it was all snow covered, or there's just less trash being thrown out car windows in the winter. Normally it's a 'Tim Horton's' coffee cup grave yard down this way, especially in the summer, so this was truly a surprise to see it pretty much spotless. I did manage to find a few plastic bags further up the road, one was a salt bag, the other was one labled "Horse Treats" and some fiberglass insulation.I took my findings home in one single trash bag and it went out with the regular trash collection from my parent's home.
I suppose that these pictures could be used to show the contrast between garbage and pretty scenery and how you just can't stand to imagine the two items mixing.
