March break on the south shore.

These are the pictures I took when I went collecting trash down home in Lunenburg. I didn't find much trash on the beach, only a few old tires, and a piece of rope, and some beach glass which i gave to my mother who collects it.
The 'lonely highway' image is actually the stretch of road that leads down towards Blue Rocks, I live on this road and thought that I would be able to collect a lot more trash here than on the shore, but, either it was all snow covered, or there's just less trash being thrown out car windows in the winter. Normally it's a 'Tim Horton's' coffee cup grave yard down this way, especially in the summer, so this was truly a surprise to see it pretty much spotless. I did manage to find a few plastic bags further up the road, one was a salt bag, the other was one labled "Horse Treats" and some fiberglass insulation.
I took my findings home in one single trash bag and it went out with the regular trash collection from my parent's home.
I suppose that these pictures could be used to show the contrast between garbage and pretty scenery and how you just can't stand to imagine the two items mixing.
